Holding Redlich expands its support for the arts with major Queensland prize

27 September 18 - Media Release

National law firm Holding Redlich is very pleased to announce its support for Queensland artists with a new sponsorship of a major arts prize.

As part of a three year program, Holding Redlich has partnered with the Flying Arts Alliance, co-sponsoring the annual $10,000 Art For Life Award, part of the Queensland Regional Art Awards.

These awards showcase the works of artists in regional and remote areas of Queensland with 170 entries received this year from across the state.

Rockhampton artist Erin Dunne has just been announced as the winner of the 2018 Art For Life Award for ‘Destination Duaringa’, a paper art book depicting scenes from a central Queensland road trip.

Queensland Managing Partner, Paul Venus, congratulated the winning artist and said the firm is very excited about its new partnership with the Flying Arts Alliance.

“We have been looking for ways to support the arts in Queensland so that we can make a genuine contribution to the arts and broader communities,” Paul said.

“Partnering with Flying Arts enables us to do both and we’re excited to co-sponsor the Art for Life Award. We are thrilled to support this wonderful initiative and congratulate winning artist Erin Dunne. In addition, we are also very pleased to be the touring exhibition partner for 2019.”

National Managing Partner Ian Robertson said the firm is a long-time supporter of the arts: “Supporting the arts is part of our DNA and we are very proud to be able to significantly expand our national arts program with this new Queensland partnership.”

Holding Redlich is also the major sponsor of the Salon des Refuses exhibition at the SH Ervin Gallery in Sydney and the Masters Program exhibition at the Victorian College of the Arts.
