Marilyn's experience includes the protection, licensing and exploitation of intellectual property, the drafting and negotiating of information technology agreements, advertising clearance work and the drafting and negotiating of agreements relating to advertising, the provision of advice in relation to privacy and data protection, and commercial advisory work.

Marilyn has significant experience in work such as:

• registration, protection, licensing, exploitation, acquisition and disposal and relationship agreements around all aspects of trade marks, copyright and confidential information
• drafting and negotiating information technology agreements such as IT procurement agreements, outsourcing agreements, software development, licensing and maintenance agreements, escrow agreements, licensing and distribution agreements, website development and hosting agreements
• advising on Trade Practices issues with an emphasis on consumer protection and restrictive trade practices
• advising clients in relation to all forms of advertising clearance and advertising campaigns (including traditional media and social media), consumer promotions, advertising services agreements and sponsorship/endorsement agreements
• advising on and developing e-commerce compliance strategies, including privacy policies, website terms and conditions, domain name protection and dispute resolution
• general commercial advisory work, including the drafting and negotiating of distribution agreements and services agreements
