Anna Elliott specialises in workplace relations. Prior to joining Holding Redlich, she practised as a solicitor in London and Sydney, also specialising in workplace relations.

Anna has extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of employment and industrial relations law. She also has experience in advising clients operating in a wide range of industries and in acting for large multi-national corporations, small and medium sized enterprises, not-for-profit organisations, public bodies and individuals.

Anna’s experience includes:

  • providing advice on pre-employment processes, performance management, managing grievance complaints and absences due to illness or injury, privacy issues and termination of employment including misconduct and redundancy
  • advising on award compliance and agreement making
  • drafting various contracts of employment, policies and procedures together with independent contractor agreements
  • managing numerous employment disputes in relation to unfair dismissal, breach of contract, discrimination and harassment and conducting large-scale litigation proceedings to enforce post-termination restraints. She has appeared for clients in proceedings in both New South Wales and Federal Courts and industrial tribunals
  • conducting workplace investigations into employee complaints and allegations of misconduct, discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation
  • advising on large-scale re-structuring and redundancy programs for national corporates
  • conducting workplace training on investigating grievances, performance management, bullying and harassment and updates on legislative compliance including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)
  • advising on employment issues in relation to transmission of business
  • conducting audits and providing advice on employment-related legislative compliance matters including the National Employment Standards, discrimination, bullying and harassment, privacy, managing ill and injured workers and occupational health and safety measures

Bachelor of Laws – University of Bristol
