Greg has substantial experience in litigating and resolving corporate, partnership, contractual, insolvency, trade practices, property and leasing disputes.

His experience includes acting for:

  • the subsidiary of a major publisher in defending claims of breaches of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) and misuse of market power

  • the directors of a trustee company in defence of proceedings commenced by a Bank under section 197 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) seeking recovery under guarantees given by the trustee company

  • a former director and shareholder of a company in proceedings seeking the appointment of a Provisional Liquidator and a claim for damages against  the company and its directors

  • a Responsible  Entity in various proceedings relating to enforcement actions against borrowers under loan facilities

  • a major listed company in proceedings involving trade practices allegations concerning the provision of professional services by an Investment Bank during a takeover

  • an International film production company in proceedings relating to claims for breach of contract by an overseas film distributor

  • a Provisional Liquidator in winding-up proceedings involving an off-shore registered company

  • Insolvency Practitioners (Liquidators, Administrators and Receivers) in respect of various applications made under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)

  • directors of companies in relation to claims made by Liquidators for insolvent trading and preference actions

  • a developer in proceedings commenced by an Owners Corporation and others for defects in a residential development project
