Her experience is entirely construction focused and she works for a broad range of clients, including commercial builders, developers and Government bodies. In 2010, Janelle was nominated by her peers and then selected by the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland as one of three finalists for Queensland Woman Lawyer of the Year. In the 2011 edition of Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession, Janelle is named as a rising star in the construction field in Queensland. She currently holds a position on the council of the National Association of Women in Construction and is a member of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association. Janelle has extensive experience in the operation and application of security of payment legislation. She has appeared in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal in proceedings regarding challenges to adjudication decisions. Janelle holds a high level of skill in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She has acts in proceedings involving multiple parties and has particular expertise in dealing with proprotionate liability regime under the Civil Liability Act.
