Darren Pereira | Partner | Sydney

Darren practises corporate and commercial law and has experience in a range of corporate transactions, including: mergers and acquisitions; private equity; fundraisings (private and public); initial public offerings; joint ventures; financing transactions and restructures. He has acted for private companies, public companies which are or have been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange or the London Stock Exchange, financial institutions and private equity and venture capital funds.

Darren has particular expertise in private equity and venture capital transactions having acted for both management teams and private equity funds on a range of transactions, including management buy-outs, seed funding, later rounds of investments, bolt on acquisitions and investments, and exits. He is currently a member of the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and has previously been a member of the British Venture Capital Association.

In recent times, Darren has also acted for banks, film financiers and production companies on film and television financing transactions, including intellectual property securitisation.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich in 2005, Darren worked for five years as a solicitor in London in the corporate department of one of the UK’s leading national law firms. Darren previously worked as a solicitor in the corporate and commercial department of one of Australia’s largest national firms.

Darren is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
