Corporate and Commercial - David is the national group leader of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial group. He is based in our Sydney office.

David practices in corporate and commercial law and has particular expertise in mergers & acquisitions, corporate compliance advice, energy and resources transactions, infrastructure projects, fundraising and capital management transactions (including disclosure documents and venture capital).David has extensive experience in large scale M&A transactions involving substantial and complex documentation and assets and large project structuring and implementation. He handles or manages all aspects of transactions including structuring of the commercial deal, due diligence, negotiation of the final terms and documentation preparation.

David acts for a wide variety of private and public clients, advising at the legal and strategic levels.

Energy & Resources - David is the national group leader of the firm’s Energy & Resources group. David was named as a leading lawyer in Sydney in the industry and peer rated guide “The ALB Guide: Energy & Resources 2009”.

For over 15 years, David has advised companies in gas and oil (exploration, production and transmission), electricity generation, mining (coal and uranium) and power (infrastructure).

His practice includes most aspects of the resource identification, tenement acquisitions and disposals, project acquisitions and disposal, resource management, infrastructure procurement and construction, commercialisation, capital management, fund and debt raising and exits.
