Donna specialises in information technology, intellectual property and commercial law.

Donna is experienced in all phases of the preparation and negotiation of licensing and commercial agreements for IT, IP and procurement transactions from preparation of tender documents through to post-transaction contract management. Transaction experience includes:

  • large scale system development and outsourcing projects including single and multiple supplier arrangements;
  • localisation and contract standardisation projects for Australian subsidiaries of technology companies based in the U.S., U.K, Europe and Asia;
  • software development, licensing, services and maintenance agreements;
  • portal based document library development and implementation;
  • contract management documentation preparation and training;
  • intellectual property advice on licensing, assignment, co-ownership and chain of title management; and
  • reviewing and advising on advertising campaigns, information memorandums and promotional materials.

Donna has acted for clients in a diverse range of industries including financial services, government, retail, telecommunications and manufacturing as well as one of the world’s largest software companies.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Donna was in the technology practice group of one of Australia’s largest law firms. Donna brings a highly commercial approach to her advice having spent a decade in the information technology industry before completing her legal qualification, including management roles with a U.S. software company and a major Australian bank.
