Jeremy Prentice is a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team. He is a major projects and infrastructure specialist with over 17 years of experience. Jeremy’s experience has been gained working in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Perth and London and he has advised on projects throughout Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East.  Jeremy has advised domestic and international government agencies, sponsors, funders, construction contractors and operators. Jeremy has also been extensively involved with numerous large-scale traditionally procured projects. He has particular expertise in the ports, airports, aviation, defence and transport sectors where he advises a broad range of companies. Jeremy served as a legal officer in the RAN and has advised on defence projects throughout his legal career. He was Chairman of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland from 2007 - 2009.

Jeremy’s experience includes advising:

  • Santos on the SQAD review of the multi-billion dollar GLNG project at Gladstone
  • Queensland Health on the $1.6 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital project
  • NorthConnect on its bid for the $4.6 billion Brisbane Airport Link PPP project
  • on a broad range of schools, courts, hospitals, defence, ports, airports, rail and industrial PPP/PFI projects in Australia, the UK, Europe and the UAE
  • the Queensland Government on the privatisation of Forestry Plantations Queensland
  • Dalby Bio Refinery on the development and project financing of an ethanol plant
  • Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Management on the Stage 7 Expansion capital dredging
  • on a broad range of requirements in relation to the F-111, FA-18 Hornet and Super Hornet aircraft
  • on numerous aircraft acquisitions and disposals
  • on a number of M&A transactions in the defence and aviation sectors
  • Air New Zealand, Tasman Aviation Enterprises (Queensland) Pty Ltd, TAE Aviation (formerly Tenix Aviation), Altitude Aerospace and Safe Air on a broad range of matters in the commercial and defence aviation sectors
  • Macquarie Bank on the potential acquisitions of Cairns and Mackay Airports. Also advised Auckland Airport on the acquisition of a major stake in these airports
  • Heathrow Hydrant Operating Company on a broad range of issues at Heathrow Airport including financing, constructing and operating new fuel farm facilities and a major corporate restructuring
  • Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and WestLB on the landmark British Airways London Eye project
  • Advised the State Rail and Transit Authorities of NSW over a number of years in relation to a broad range of contracting and procurement requirements
