Andrea practises in industrial common law claims and medical negligence. Her practice in these areas has involved work in the Supreme Court, County Court and Coroners Court as well as the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria and the Health Services Commissioner.

Andrea is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injuries Law with the Law Institute of Victoria. She has been a specialist since 2001.

Andrea was actively involved in the Stolen Generations litigation brought on behalf of the Northern Territory Aboriginals. In recognition of such work Andrea was one of the recipients of the 1998 Pro Bono Award given by the Victorian Law Foundation and the Public Interest Law Clearing House. She was also a member of the legal team which received the Australian Plaintiff Lawyers Association (APLA) Civil Justice Award in 2000.

Andrea was a member of the Victorian Executive Committee of APLA from 1997 to 1999. She was also the Victorian Chair of the Medical Negligence Special Interest Group in 1997 and 1998.

Andrea is a member the Victorian WorkSafe's Legal Liaison Group.

Within Holding Redlich, Andrea is a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono committee, which manages the Firm’s pro bono work. She is also the Melbourne office’s Parenting Partner and is responsible for supporting working parents and advocating flexible work practices within the Firm. Away from work, she is the very proud mother of 2 gorgeous boys, aged 4 and 6 years!

Andrea’s Honours Thesis was entitled Avenues for Complaints against Doctors in Victoria involving an analysis of the Medical Practitioners Board, the Health Services Commissioner and the Court System.
