Trent joined Holding Redlich in August 2008. He is a Senior Associate with the Corporate and Commercial Department.

Trent has over seven years experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer.Trent assists clients in preparing and negotiating business contracts. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business structuring, franchising, brand protection, procurement and technology.

Some of the transactions Trent has recently worked on include the following:

  • advising companies in relation to mergers, acquisitions and fund raising;
  • advising companies and directors in relation to compliance and governance issues under the Corporations Act, and the ASX Listing Rules;
  • acting for sellers and buyers of businesses, shares and units;
  • conducting legal due diligence for buyers of businesses;
  • providing structuring advice to business owners in relation to protecting assets, incorporating companies, establishing trusts and planning business succession;
  • acting for providers of goods and services in drafting, reviewing and negotiating supply and contractor agreements;
  • assisting technology providers with software licensing and terms for on-line delivery of content;
  • acting for franchisors and franchisees in preparing, negotiating and reviewing franchise agreements and disclosure documents;
  • advising franchisors in relation to compliance with the franchising code and competition laws;
  • providing intellectual property advice and brand protection strategies to business owners, franchisors and not-for-profits; and
  • applying for, and advising in relation to registrability of trademarks for companies, not-for-profits and individuals.
