Holding Redlich appoints new dispute resolution and litigation partner

National law firm Holding Redlich has welcomed new partner Kimberley MacKay to its Melbourne Dispute Resolution & Litigation practice group.

Kimberley specialises in complex commercial disputes, class actions and insolvency. She is recognised on the Best Lawyers list in the areas of Insolvency and Reorganization Law and Litigation.

She has extensive experience in Australia and overseas in the resolution of disputes through litigation, mediation, arbitration, expert determination and other alternative resolution processes.

Kimberley acts for insolvency practitioners, financial institutions and corporate clients in managing insolvency arrangements, recovering debts and realising assets.

Kimberley said she was delighted to join Holding Redlich.

"I am very excited to be joining Holding Redlich and look forward to working with its strong dispute resolution and litigation team," Kimberley said.

"This is an exciting time in dispute resolution and litigation as the increase in the use of technology and litigation funding significantly improves access to justice.

"Recent changes in the Australian insolvency framework, particularly the safe harbour reforms, are also likely to lead to additional work for insolvency lawyers."

Holding Redlich National Managing Partner Ian Robertson welcomed Kimberley to the firm.

"From an appeal in the House of Lords in relation to a worldwide freezing order, to acting in high profile class actions, Kimberley brings an impressive level of experience and expertise with her to our firm," Ian said.

"The resolution and litigation of disputes of all types in every Australian court and tribunal is one of Holding Redlich’s most important areas of practice and Kimberley is an important and valuable addition to our national team."
