Michael Lombard is a Partner at Adviceline Injury Lawyers, and is the partner in charge of our transport accident division. He also has extensive experience in public liability claims, Victims of Crime compensation and Coronial Inquests and Investigations.

Michael is dedicated to helping vulnerable people overcome the challenges of the TAC and the accident injury compensation systems to achieve their proper entitlements.

Qualified mediator and Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Personal Injury Specialist, Michael has been named Personal Injury Litigation ‘Lawyer of the Year’ in the 11th edition of Best Lawyers® in Australia. 

Michael is further recognised by the publication as a ‘Best Lawyer’ in Personal Injury Litigation (2014-2019); and Motor Vehicle Law (2019). 

Michael has written numerous books, articles and papers on personal injury and spoken at seminars throughout Australia on injury law. He has a particular interest in head injury from road accidents.


Prior to joining Adviceline Injury Lawyers, Michael had established his own legal firm of Lombard and Associates. During this time, he was the spokesperson for The Action Committee for Transport Injured Children (TACTIC), a group of parents of head injured children protesting against the Victorian Government’s intended privatisation of the Transport Accident Commission. After a year of protest the Kennett Government backed down from its plan.

Michael was a member and secretary of the Road Trauma Support Team from 1994 – 2006, a non-profit group assisting people emotionally affected by road accidents.

In 2001 Michael joined Holding Redlich as the partner in charge of the traffic accident division.

From 2012 – 2016 Michael was a trustee and chairman of Law Aid (a fund assisting injured Victorians in civil action), and in 2015 was elected as a member of council and Director of the Law Institute of Victoria.
