Holding Redlich has beefed up its corporate and commercial practice group with the acquisition of a new partner.
Luke Hooper has joined the firm’s partnership, bringing with him an expertise in superannuation and financial services. He joins Holding Redlich’s Melbourne office from Mills Oakley, where he was special counsel.
Hooper’s experience includes work on major superannuation investments, custody, administration, successor fund transfers, and general commercial contracting.
Hooper said this is an important time for superannuation law and he looks forward to contributing to the continued growth of the field.
“Superannuation law is ever-evolving and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found myself practicing in this area of law that intrigues and challenges me while also practicing in a firm that has a strong commitment to and long-standing relationship with the superannuation industry,” Luke said.
Ian Robertson, national managing partner, said Hooper’s expertise will boost Holding Redlich’s superannuation practice.
“Luke has extensive experience of the principal legal and commercial issues affecting superannuation fund trustees and financial services providers, including all aspects of superannuation fund compliance, management and investment,” he said.
