Ashleigh works collaboratively with in house counsel, senior management and human resources personnel providing practical and targeted advice across a broad range of employment and safety related matters.

She has worked with both public and private sector employers in a wide range of industries including specifically private equity, education, media and communications and professional services, as well as property management.

Experience

Ashleigh’s relevant experience includes:

  • assisting in industrial disputes and litigated claims before the Fair Work Commission, Supreme Court of New South Wales and Federal and Family Circuit Court of Australia
  • drafting and advising on employment contracts, contractor agreements, company policies and codes of conduct
  • providing advice in respect of termination of employment issues, including performance management, post-employment obligations and redundancies and restructures
  • managing complex issues relating to ill and injured workers, including return to work and abandonment of employment issues
  • assisting employers in the conduct of complex workplace investigations including those involving bullying and other inappropriate workplace behaviours
  • providing advice about a range of statutory issues, including compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), workplace health and safety legislation and anti-discrimination legislation
  • assisting in the conduct of coronial inquests and work health and safety investigations.
