National law firm Holding Redlich has welcomed new senior associate Scott Schlink to its construction and infrastructure team in Melbourne as a specialist in the area of renewable energy.
Scott has more than 12 years of global experience advising on all aspects of construction, energy and infrastructure.
Scott joins Holding Redlich after working for an international law firm in its Ulaanbaatar office in Mongolia, advising on a number of utility-scale solar PV and wind projects.
Scott said he was delighted to join Holding Redlich and its renewable energy team, which is part of the firm’s broader national construction and infrastructure practice group.
“The renewable energy sector is booming at the moment, with a number of state subsidy schemes and an influx of capital pushing project development,” Scott said.
“However, future demand remains unpredictable due to the wide range of positions the major parties have taken on policy setting. It will be interesting to see how investors ‘future proof’ their deals going forwards.”
National Managing Partner Ian Robertson welcomed Scott to the firm.
“Scott’s appointment will provide a boost to our renewable energy team at a time when these issues are increasingly on the nation’s radar,” Ian said.
“He brings some excellent skills to the team and we welcome him to our firm.”
